Happy Friday and Happy Martin Luther King, Jr Weekend!!! (Happy Birthday MLK, Jr!!!)
Before I get to today's post for the locker, let me wish everyone a great and safe weekend and hope that everyone enjoys the holiday while also observing it.
Now for today's post: My First Smoke.
For all of you smokers out there, this lady wanted to share when she took her first puff. She admits that she was well underage, but that's all she'll admit not wanting to give full disclosure about the specifics of her confession.
When she was younger, she spent a lot of time with her grandfather. And her grandfather was a heavy smoker. But known to be glued to his seat, her grandfather grew accustomed to sending his grandkids to do things that he didn't feel like doing, like grabbing the remote and lighting his cigarettes when he didn't have a match.
So, one day when her grandfather tasked her the duty of lighting his cigarette, she decided to take the first puff herself to see what all the hype was about.
And she hated it.
It turned her away from smoking almost completely. She tried it again years later and found the same distaste for it.
And she hasn't smoked since.
Next blog will be on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011.
See you then!!!
